After nearly forty years of waiting, Dawson’s professional theatre program, a.k.a., the Dome Players, has finally received theirlong-awaited theatre. The “New Dome Theatre,” opened Wednesday evening to a sold-out performance of The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov. Students and faculty alike made their way into the state-of-the-art intimate theatre to support the second-year theatre students who had the responsibility of being the first actors to orate on the stage.
